Seattle Trip with Dad: April 11-13, 2004

(04/13/2004)

I've always had an interest in visiting many of the major cities as I am fascinated by different cultures and local traditions. At one point I had made a list of major cities and what I would like to explore in each, such as broadway in New York City and eating a huge steak in Texas. One of the cities on the list was Seattle, Washington, which my dad and I had the pleasure of visiting due to frequent flier miles from his weekly out of state work trips. We did all of the touristy things, such as had coffee at the first Starbucks, watched vendors throw fish at Pikes Place Market and took a tour of Safeco field, home of the Seattle Mariners major league baseball team. We walked miles on that trip, up and down the hilly streets, ate much of the local cuisine, as well as traveled to visit the Space Needle on a Tram.
